Forgive me if this has been suggested already.

I would like to see the ability to create subfolders from within the garage area that you can save your sets for various tracks in. For example, make a folder labled AS1 and save all of your sets for AS1 in that folder. I am sure others besides me have quite a collection of sets and it can be confusing which one is which sometimes.

Thats exactly what mine looked like. Seems to have cleared up now though on its own.

Yesterday I was told that I was lagging.... never happened before. Well, today I could not connect. In top left it kept saying "could not find host"

I went back to unpatched LFS and everything seems ok. Doesnt seem to be any more lag. I even copied in a new .exe into the patched folder but it still would not connect. I have over 4000 down and 400 up so the tests tell me. I have run 8 racers on my server with no trouble.

Any clues out there?

How do you change the setup and skin on the bots? I click the bot in the setup screen and can change the settings. Then when I join, the bot takes my settings. I click the bot and change stuff and it does not stick. I have tried changing the AI settings in cfg.txt to 1 but it doesnt seem to save the settings. Any ideas?

Lately there has been a growing number of advertisements that come across the chat system while in a race. I can't tell you how much this disturbs me and I am totally against it.

In my web development I never place ads on any of my sites. I subscribe to cable TV to bypass all the advertising that I can. There are spam filters on my e-mail, and if I am bombarded by ads when I enter a website I will leave faster than you can blink an eye.

There is a time and a place for advertisements but on screen during a race is NOT one of them. I know that I can block messages but some of them are actually worthwhile and I enjoy chatting at times.

All I can say is.... I paid good money for this software and am not liking this area that it is moving into. Already I shy away from servers that are known to display this garbage. Anyone out there that is currently doing it or thinking about it, please think again.

Scenario:

Racing along having a blast. Round the bend just before the pits on the KY oval and a car pulls out sideways in the track. Collision occurs throwing me into a pit stall wrecking the car and giving me a stop an go. I can creep to a pit box but the car is not repaired. It goes into pit stop mode but only lasts a second or two and says pit over..... Is this a bug or is it supposed to be like this? In reality a car with this much damage would surely be out of the race but if I had landed just outside of the pit entrance my car would have been repaired when going to the pit box.

I finished last!! The first 10 laps or so were a blast. Thanks to Team Speedo for that.... we were exchanging the lead for many laps. I lost draft and ran in 4th for a while and then after Chris's mishap I was able to regain the lead for a while. I pitted on 51 with the lead but lost it on pit exit. When I finally got going again I was in 7th. I worked my way back up to 2nd and had the leader in my sights. I was gaining on him and another couple of laps I would have been there. When rounding the bend at the pits we were 2 wide (not with the leader) with me on the inside. There sat Gfsc Myx sideways on the track at the pit entrance. I tried to avoid him, and maybe if I were 20 years younger I would have, but didn't. I couldn't go wide or I would have taken out the guy running on the outside. My move was to the inside but just not enough. The collision sent me over the pit wall and into a stall wrecking the car and giving me a stop and go penalty. I was able to back out and slowly creep to a pit area. All it said after 2 seconds was pit over. It never repaired the car! I moved on down the line and tried every pit area but to no avail This was lap 86.... too many to make up by going to the garage and start over so I called it a day and spectated for the rest of the race till the last lap. I did finish!! LOL

Congrats to Tuusita and thanks to everyone for a good time. We cant win them all but its fun just the same. Good job Admins... lets do it again!!

The ones that have crashed have time and attention to vote while the drivers that did not crash are involved in a race and may not even know that a vote is in progress. Especially at the start when your full attention is needed the most.

I agree, as it stands now, just do not vote and it is the same as having to vote no in this new scenario. I dont want to be bothered if I was able to survive the start!

What ever happened to the Oval Office.com? The web site is still up. The heading has been removed from the old forum and there is not one here. Never any activity on the server either, fact is I havent seen it online in a while!
